Cam Mackenzie, Principal of AMAROO ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTRE, is the guest speaker at this evening’s session arranged by the Friends of Peacehaven Botanic Park. (the Friends).

Cam will outline the great work the Amaroo team do to help students get a good understanding of our environment and role they can play in helping to protect it.

Cam will also explore opportunities for Amaroo, the Friends and schools to collaborate in taking environmental protection in our region to the next level.

The Friends invite you to join them at the HIGHFIELDS TAVERN, corner O’Brien and Highfields Roads,  for dinner (own cost) from 6pm followed by this free, informative session.

Kicking off our Spring series of Music In the Park, Brisbane based live covers band BUBBLEFRY play a variety of music styles including Pop, Rock, Funk and Soul ….from Frank Sinatra to Bruno Mars and everything in between.

The weather's warming up and so is the free entertainment at Peacehaven Botanic Park with local act VICTORIA Q DUO.

Victoria sings powerful ballads as well as hard rocking tunes. A diverse set-list, spanning six decades of music, means there's something for everyone to enjoy.

SLOW TRAIN COMING round off the Music in the Park series for 2018.

This five piece, live rock band features two electric guitars, bass, drums, and saxophone, complimented by two male lead singers and three back-up vocalists.

Playing popular hits from the last four decades, the band has performed over three hundred live shows at venues across southern Queensland and has been a regular at the Music in the Park events at Peacehaven.

If you love to dance, they are your band! If you hate to dance, sit back, relax and enjoy some of Toowoomba’s finest instrumentalists live.

HIGHFIELDS DISTRICT COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CAROLS

HIGHFIELDS DISTRICT COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CAROLS

The annual Highfields District Community Christmas Carols will be held at Peacehaven Botanic Park on Saturday 8 December 2017.

Organised by the combined churches of Highfields, and supported by Toowoomba Regional Council, the program includes a mixture of traditional and modern carols and a visit by Santa who will be collecting your donated toys.

This year the nominated charity is THE SMITH FAMILY. 
You can help make Christmas a little brighter for under-privileged children in the region by donating toys for this appeal

(Please donate only new toys. They can be for any age and
we ask that the toys are not wrapped)

Members of the Highfields North-Eastern Downs Lions Club will have the barbecue fired up and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Gates open at 5.00 pm with the entertainment starting at 6.00 pm.  Rounding off the evening will be a spectacular fireworks display, sponsored by Heritage Bank Community Branch Highfields & Crows Nest.

It's a wonderful evening for the whole family so bring a picnic rug and chairs for a great night out.
